Education
This page has been dedicated to providing everything you will need to know about schooling to make your relocation to Alberta an easy and enjoyable transition. Edmonton has at least 3 separate routes for schooling (excluding home schooling). Edmonton Public Schools are by far the largest system in Edmonton. Enrollment is approximately 80,000 in 206 schools which span throughout Edmonton. If someone in your family has been transferred and you are considering moving to Edmonton, Edmonton Public Schools may be the solution for you.

If you relocate your home to this Alberta area, you will find that the Edmonton Catholic School board may be your choice for schooling your child. The ECS has a total of approximately 84 schools which offer services ranging from elementary to senior high schools. Roughly 33,000 students are enrolled with the Edmonton Catholic School Board.

Edmonton also offers a wide variety of private schools throughout Edmonton. These may be a route of interest to you. The Association of Independent Schools and Colleges in Alberta may be able to guide you to the private school of your choice. Depending on where you purchase your new home, I may have additional information on the private schools in that neighborhood. Please contact me if you wish to get more information.

Edmonton also is home to one of the largest and most respected Universities in the country. Many programs exist which can be found at the University of Alberta. Over 29,000 students are served by 200 undergraduate programs and more than 170 graduate programs. Students enjoy an exceptional quality of life on a friendly campus in the midst of a city that values research and learning as well as its beautiful river-valley parkland. Margaret has a vast base of knowledge on the homes within walking distance to these universities, colleges and schools if purchasing a home in close proximity is a priority.

Many colleges also exist in Edmonton, Alberta. One of the largest within Edmonton is the Grant MacEwan College which has 3 campus spread out around Edmonton and offers more than 72 diploma and certificate programs, over 2,500 career-related courses, and first and second year university transfer programs. This institution has enrolled more than 54,000 students this year.

As well as above, Edmonton is home to the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology. NAIT has been a leading institute of technology since its inception in 1963, serving approximately 50,000 customers annually.

Margaret Spady realizes that a transfer or a relocation to another city can be extremely stressful for all members of your family. I am here to help guide you through the process of buying your new home and do my best to minimize your stress during this hectic but exciting transition.
